Do you want to know which are the best womens snowboard goggles?
Hey, what’s up, everyone? It’s Brittany from Sporty and I’m here to tell you all about the top 5 best womens snowboard goggles of the season.
So, before I hop into just each goggle there’s a common thread among all of them which is why they made the roundup.
They’re very high-quality goggles but they all have an anti-fog coating on the lenses. They all have a great ventilation system in the frame of the goggle.
So, you get that nice airflow to prevent that fogging and they also have the silicone grippiness on the inside of the strap.
So, that your helmet-compatible goggles will stay nice and secure.
Anon WM3
Starting off over here with the Anon WM3. This has Anon’s quick change magnetic system and that’s really what Anon’s best known for amazing magnetic lens quick change system.
It comes with their perceived lens technology which helps increase contrast. Make all the right colors pop so you can see nicely and clearly on the mountain. It does come with an extra bonus lens and in addition to that, you have this really nice kind of cylindrical frame or lens design. Which is a really cool retro-e throwback look.
It provides a lot of extended peripheral vision plus. It looks really cool.
SMITH I/O MAG S
All right next we have the Smith I/O mag S this too has a quick interchange magnetic quick change system. It also too comes with an extra bonus lens for those low-light days when the clouds start rolling.
Another unique feature of the Smith goggle here is their ventilation system. So they paid extra attention to detail and made sure that there was as much ventilation and airflow going all around throughout the frame to help best prevent fogging.
In addition to that, it is kind of a rimless design. And it also features the ChromaPop or it has the ChromaPop lens tech in the lenses which is a great lens technology.
I can’t say enough great things about it. It really helps increase that contrast and make the colors pop. Hence the name so that you can see better when you’re out there on the mountain.
Oakley Flight Deck XM
Here we have the Oakley flight deck XM. Now, this is one of the most popular top sellers that we have here at Sporty Head.
It is the most popular womens snowboard goggles in the Oakley lineup. This is an exclusive Sporty Head colorway so you can only get this at Sporty Head. It’s our code black colorway extra points if you can decipher the Morse code here on the strap.
But more about the flight deck you get Oakley’s prism lens technology. Which is one of the most unparalleled lens technologies out there on the market.
It really helps increase that contrast and dials back all the unnecessary colors while bringing forward all of the colors that you want to see in your snow environment.
It has a sleek and clean frameless design. An adjustable silicone strap and extra foam padding around the nose bridge.
So it can prevent cold air from sneaking in and you know also more conducive to a variety of nose bridges.
You know taller nose bridges flatter nose bridges so it helps kind of fill any gaps there in your goggle providing again that nice seal around your eyes.
Giro Lusi
Here we have the Giro Lusi. Just like the rest of the goggles on this table have great fleece foam, triple-layer foam there, and also anti-fog ventilation all around the frame of the goggle.
It is also an interchangeable goggle with the slash seal lens interchange system. It features Giro’s vivid lens technology and it is the difference here.
The unique thing is that it has a torque lens shape. So a torque lens shape is a nice compromise. It’s the best of both worlds between a spherical and a cylindrical lens shape.
So, like the two goggles we saw previous to this we had the Oakley and the Smith with spherical lens design and the WM3 by Anon with the cylindrical lens design.
We have a combination of both. So a spherical lens is going to give you a little bit more volume inside the goggle.
As you can see it kind of bubbles out a little more on the cylindrical lens. It’s a little bit flatter so the spherical lens will allow some more ventilation and airflow to help prevent fogging.
It’s also going to give you a little bit more anti-glare reflective glare protection there. But with the cylindrical lens, you’re going to get some extended kind of peripheral plus you get the really cool throwback retro look with the cylindrical lens.
So, a toric lens in the goggle world is kind of a compromise between the two. So you get something nice and in between where you get the properties of the spherical lens the anti-fog properties. But you also get kind of a cylindrical silhouette look.
Which kind of more resembles the cool throwback retro look of the WM3 so that’s what a toric lens is.
This particular goggle is a medium-ish fit so a pretty standard average fit for a goggle.
Dragon X2S
Last but certainly not least we have the Dragon X2 S. This one is a spherical lens design. It has a frameless kind of look to it and Dragon’s swift lock lens interchange system.
It does come with an extra lens for those low-light days. When the clouds start rolling in you can just quickly change your lenses.
It has the lumens color-optimized lens tech from the Dragon. And it also has all of the great things like your anti-fog properties, Your triple-layer face foam, and your silicone goggle strap.
