Miken Softball Bats |Top 5| Review & Buying Guide 2023

miken softball bats

Hey, my name is Venus Taylor. I’m a former pro baseball player and today we’re going to review the Miken Softball Bats.

Mike Piazza, a retired MLB player, has his own line of softball bats named “Mike Piazza Softball Bats” by the company Miken.

These bats are designed for slowpitch softball and are made from composite materials to provide a balance of power and durability. They are available in a variety of sizes and weight drops to suit different players’ preferences and skill levels.

Miken | Kyle Pearson Freak 23 | Maxload

I’m talking about Miken slowpitch alphabets for 2022 and right here I have the freak 2023 Kyle Pearson model. This one will be USSSA, ISA, and NSA softball certified.

So, Kyle Pearson loves neon. His last couple of bats have always had a hint of neon to them and this one is going to be no different for NSA softball in 2023.

Miken | Kyle Pearson Freak 23

Now, this is back to Kyle Pearson, he likes that smaller barrel. It’s going to be a 12-inch barrel. So you get obviously the less kind of that hitting area to it but you do get a little bit more of that power hitter delight.

Because a 12-inch barrel with a half-ounce and loaded up top definitely is one of the feelings that will be more for kind of those power hitters.

Some guys really love that feeling we’re kind of some other bats for example obviously Miken and Worth are under the same umbrella.

But another guy Ryan Harvey 13.5 inch power that goes on forever with a half-ounce analog you don’t really feel but with this bat that half an ounce and load with the 12-inch barrel you do feel.

Now we have that composite barrel with that composite handle to it. This is obviously going to have that Miken technology and it has perfected the art of durability and performance with its slow-pitch softball bat.

This bat does obviously come with that 12-month manufacturer’s warranty if you are to have to use it has to obviously go through Miken and you buy from an authorized dealer or Amazon.

This bat has looked like a little bit of a smaller knob from last year that’s definitely one of the improvements that they made from years past.

Some of the mic knobs got started to get kind of big and then dialed it back now down to a smaller knob if you’re looking for a great bat with a little bit louder of a paint job to it you want to look at the freak 23 Kyle Pearson USA softball bat.

Miken | 2022 | 2023 | Ultra Gamer Series Slowpitch Softball Bat

I am talking about Miken in slow-pitch softball bats for 2023 and right here I have the Miken Ultra Gamer series the senior slow-pitch softball bat.

So, you’re going to see the old solid pitch logo right there this is going to be for senior slow-pitch softball.

Ultra Gamer Series Slowpitch Softball Bats

So, we know that you’re going to get totally performance based as well as some durability. Now into these bats Miken Ultra, we saw last year come out in the gamer series and it was a long barrel 14-inch barrel.

This one will be the counterpart which will be your 12-inch barrel so for guys that like that smaller barrel a little bit more kind of that centered hitting area this will be for you.

This does come with a half-ounce end load so you’re definitely going to feel a little bit more weight to it up top because of it being a 12-inch barrel.

When you get a 14-inch barrel with that half-ounce end load you don’t really exactly feel that end weight but now with the 12-inch barrel, you definitely will feel a lot more of that end weight.

Available in some nice weights, so 25 ounces, 26 ounces, 27 ounces, and goes all the way up to that 28 ounces. You’re talking about a bat that definitely is going to turn some heads out there on the field.

Miken Chaos Slowpitch Softball Bats Review

Hey guys I got my new Chaos bat. I’m excited to try it out I haven’t given a single swing yet. We’ll see how it goes. I’m going to compare it to the worth bat that I’ve had for a few years.

They’re pretty similar in appearance and size and weight but I’m hopeful that this will have a lot more pop. This bat is like the good go-to bat if you’re maxed out on home runs. Because nobody’s going to hit a home run on it and this one I’m hoping will be the kind of bat.

Miken Chaos Slowpitch Softball Bat Series 2023 All-Association

This chaos bat will be the kind of one that we can get the home runs that we are allowed to get on. So I’m going to take a few swings here.

It’s not the inexplicable pop bat I’ve ever used. I’ve used some really juiced ones where you could really whip it, you know hit 350 easy. This might be just right for a 275-foot field and to have to earn it.

Although it isn’t a composite bat it acts like one. I like the weight and comfort of it. We’ll balance and has some serious pop. My entire team used it before I did and they all love it.

Was using a composite bat but the league I’m playing in now only allows metal/alloy. Very happy with this bat, went with the 28oz.

I like the slight end-load, whips through the zone easily, has great sound, has a solid feel on contact, and seems like the ball flies as far as the composite I used before. Some other teammates are using this bat now and really like it.

I added a grip-n-rip taper for increased grip and bat control since the bat doesn’t have a taper, try it out if you haven’t used one before, a game changer for me!

Miken | 2022 | DC 41 Slowpitch Softball Bats

We kept getting questions about when are they bringing the DC 41 back they kind of heard some rumors in 2021 that were coming out in September a little bit of some delays but obviously it is here.

Right now there will be two models and they will both be called the DC 41 supermax end load. So a lot of people are going to be asking what will be the differences.

Miken 2023 |DC 41 Slowpitch Bat |Supermax Load

So this is going to be kind of a quick overview of kind of the difference between these two bats. First, we’ll talk about the similarities they will both be a composite barrel with that composite handle using that Miken and exclusive technology.

So what makes Miken so great over the last couple of years is that exclusive composite which is going to give a little bit better performance overall.

Now this one kind of the green one darker green barrel with the light green handle kind of that army green look.

This one will come with a 14-inch barrel. So the 14-inch barrel even though it’s unloaded, even though it has that supermax end load to it, won’t feel quite as unloaded as a bat like this.

Which one will be the 12.25-inch barrel to it? So the barrel on this will be a little bit obviously sweet spot, will be a little bit smaller but for those guys that flat out mashable and want a little bit more of that power to it that’s the bat that they will have.

Now, this ball will be triple USA approved you’ll also have that ISA stamp and NSA stamp if you play in any of those leagues you want to take a look at the DC 41.

These bats are definitely super limited because obviously, they didn’t come out with quite a lot of them. So kind of once they’re here yeah and you see them jump on it because it won’t be here for long.

Miken | Josh Riley Freak 9R | Supermax | USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bats

I’m talking about the brand new Miken and sports Josh Riley Freak 9R Supermax slow pitch bat for 2023. Let’s hit it.

So, this is going to be the two-piece composite and a repeat of the Josh Riley Freak from last year. Similar colorway. Last year was black with a little bit of red to it.

Miken | Josh Riley Freak 9R | Supermax | USSSA Slowpitch Bats

This year they kind of reversed the colorway all red with a little bit of black two-piece composite barrel with a 12-inch barrel.

So, this bat definitely comes with the most antelope to it 12-inch barrel with a 1-ounce load this bat is equipped for those severe power hitters.

This bat will come with that flex 360 barrel and also come with that C4 carbon which is going to be on Miken technology the FP4 handle will be kind of that plug-in composite handle and it will also have an A1 knob which is a smaller knob for increased comfort.

This bat is approved for playing triple lSA, NSA, and ASA.
