Matt Guff

I’m going to be ranking the best snowboard brands from best to worst and giving my overall opinion on these snowboard brands. Mind you this is only my opinion some of you might agree with me on certain things and some of you might disagree with me so it’s all personal preference.

That would mean so much I’m going to have three sections to this so there’s going to be the best average and then terrible it’s not straightforward

So, the first Best Snowboard brand is going to be

Arbor:

arbor element camber best snowboard brands 2023

From what I’ve experienced their boards are pretty good. Obviously, I did not have enough time to really mess with it and figure the board out but from the day that I rode an arbor. I did enjoy it but it wasn’t the best board I’ve ever written so, I definitely put it in the average column.

Nitro:

Nitro Prime Raw Snowboard 2023

Nitro Prime is the board that’s for the person who’s looking for an affordable snowboard that can do it all for all-mountain riding.

I’ve ridden this board for a couple of months and I think it is just as good as our high-end boards but just has a little softer flex but the performance is there.

So, if that’s what you’re looking for I’m going to tell you all the details right now. It has a directional shape which means the nose is bigger than the tail.

Making it more versatile for all mountain boarding. You’re going to get a little more float in the pow and it’s just easier to initiate turns and to hang onto that turn and really rail into the turn this is going to make it more forgiving to ride.

It has a flat-out rocker profile which means it is flat. The camera profile here is flat from contact point to contact point.

So, here it’s flat all the way underneath the foot. Then you get an early lift in the nose and the tail and that early lifting nose and tail is going to give for more float in the pow. Also, make it more forgiving when turning you’re not going to catch your contact point as often.

The flat camera underfoot is just a nice comfortable camber profile for everyday boarding. It comes in a standard and wide width.

It has our all-terrain flex so a medium-style flex pattern to it has a radial side cut which means it’s one radius of a side cut from contact point to contact point.

That is just a forgiving really chill normal cruising slow turns edge-to-edge side cut. That’s very user-friendly and progression friendly.

Now the fourth Best Snowboard brands is gonna be

Salomon:

salomon asssassin best snowboard

I’ve only ridden their boards a couple of times and they are pretty good boards but not to my liking so I’m gonna put them in average.

It’s just like every time I strap into a Salomon doesn’t feel right, they do have a huge variety of boards. They have really stiff boards; they have really flexible boards.

You can get some in the middle like their board selection is really really good. I would definitely consider buying a Solomon in the future if I find the right one.

The fifth best snowboard brand, it’s gonna be

Never Summer:

Never Summer 2023 Men's Shaper best snowboard brands

The shaper is truly one of the most versatile boards in our line. It is a directional twin. So, it has a centered flex pattern which we accomplish here with these grinds.

For somebody that’s spinning an occasional lap in a park, it is perfect. But it is a directional profile so in our fusion profile we have heavy camber under the back foot.  Give you a lot of pressure and pop.

So, it gives you a super amount of spring out of an ollie. Put a little more rocker into the front foot for that surfy feel.

Then that early rise nose for those deeper days and then if it’s ball deep to a giraffe you can use our blower stance and really set that stance back so that balance flex pattern.

But a directional profile makes it really versatile for riding in all conditions. I would recommend the shaper twin for pretty much anybody but somebody that wants that balance feels that is going to be doing a little bit of freestyle but wants the performance of our Shaper series.

PRODUCT DETAILS

CAMBER PROFILE:
Fusion Rocker Camber + Early Rise Nose – Introducing Fusion RC. Twin in length, yet tapered in direction, the Shaper gives you balanced and exceptional performance in every terrain.
FLEX:
Flex Rating – 6/10. Dampness Rating – 5/10. A mid flex that can handle speed yet is still playful enough to take into the park.
SHAPE:
Vario Power Grip Sidecut – Vario Power Grip Sidecut utilizes multiple radiuses creating extra contact points to enhance edge hold. Taper – 10mm
CORE:
NS Superlight Wood Core – Never Summer uses a custom blend of wood species that was created to be the lightest weight yet durable core on the market.
LAMINATES:
Carbon Max Laminate Technology – More carbon equals more power and performance. STS Pretensioned Fiberglass – The world’s best snowboard fiberglass, period.
SIDEWALLS:
Sintered P-Tex Sidewalls – Never Summer was the first snowboard company to use and perfect Sintered P-Tex Sidewalls, and they’ve never seen one crack.
BASE:
Durasurf XT Sintered 5501 Base – Crown Plastics has developed an exclusive, super fast, durable sintered base specifically for higher-end boards.
TOPSHEET:
Premium Coextruded Polymer Topsheet – The Premium Topsheet is a durable, lightweight, scratch and chip-resistant fiber-backed thermoplastic.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES:
P-Tex Tip/Tail Protection – Boards with P-Tex Tip/Tail Protection have UHMW plastic, or P-Tex which is a softer molecular material that not only seals and protects the wood core but also absorbs vibration and impact.
BINDING COMPATIBILITY:
2×4 Inserts + Blower Inserts
Blower Inserts – Allow you to set bindings back to give extra float on deeper pow days

Now for the sixth best snowboard brands, it’s gonna be

Capita:

One of the best snowboard brands capita mercury

I’ve only ridden this board one time and it was like on capita they make some very very very good boards and I did like the one that I did ride.

I was originally gonna buy that board but they didn’t have the right size for me. The guy directed me to my ride and you guys know how I feel about my ride so that worked out great from my experience with that board.

It was super fun it was super playful. It seems like with most capitals it’s really on the flexible side and less on the firm side.

I do really like that but sometimes they can be a little bit too noodly and that’s not the worst thing that can be really really fun they’re super light they’re super easy to spin around.

But what I was saying is my friends have told me that the board delaminates very quickly. Now my friend Zach had capita and I think he had it for like a year or something like that and it started to delaminate really bad.

So, we had to get a brand-new board. So that’s like the main issue that I hear from capita owners. They have had capita in the past or currently have one so just keep that in mind if you’re looking into capita but this board is really hard to figure out what slot to put it in.

I almost want to put it between best and average but I would have to say that this board is average just because of the delamination problems that I’ve heard about.

The final board for the seventh-best snowboard brands 2023 I’m going to be mentioning is

Kemper:

Now I currently own a Kemper and let me tell you they make the best boards I have ever ridden in my life. They are so insanely good board construction is solid it’s super playful it’s super flexy not too flexy where it’s really noodly but just at the right flex.

Those boards carve really really well they’re super light and they’re very very durable too now I’ve only ridden this board a couple of times because I bought this board at the end of last season.

So only a couple of months ago but that’s when all hell broke loose in the world.  Everything closed down and I couldn’t really ride it at all after that one time.

That really tested the quality of this board when I went to Tuckerman’s ravine on Mount Washington. now when I say this terrain on this mountain is confusing and it’s sketchy and it’s just like unpredictable terrain.

I’ve ever snowboarded on like I’m being for real you guys have no idea how impulsive the terrain is until you’re strapped in and ready to drop in and that there’s Ryan the Kemper and that board performs so well.

I could not be happier with my decision to bring that board because it was perfect for what I was doing for me to rank Kemper it should be obvious to you guys but I’m definitely going to put it in the best category is by far my favorite board I’ve ever owned.

All right, this is all about the best snowboard brands. If you have any questions leave them in the comment.

How do I choose a snowboard style?

To choose a snowboard style, consider your skill level, preferred terrain (e.g., freestyle parks, powder, all-mountain), and riding goals. How do they make snowboards?

Snowboards are typically made by sandwiching a core material (often wood or foam) between layers of fiberglass or carbon fiber, which provide strength and flexibility.
